A prototype can answer fit, assembly or handling questions before the mold is final. The most useful method depends on size, material intent, surface needs and what the team must learn.

Use a soft sample to test the first product decisions quickly.
A soft or elastomer-like sample can provide an early, low-risk way to review overall shape, handling, clearances, assembly direction and basic interface feasibility before committing to the final resin and production tool.

A soft feasibility sample does not prove final resin strength, dimensional stability, heat resistance, aging, chemical resistance or production tolerance. Those requirements are validated separately with the final material and process.
Precision machining for mold components
CNC roughing and finishing establish mold geometry. High-speed finishing, drilling, EDM and wire cutting are added according to access, depth, sharp detail, surface and component requirements.
A practical bridge into tooling
Prototype findings should feed directly into DFM, mold design and acceptance planning. That continuity matters more than producing a fast sample in isolation.
